Re-Opening Update 2020-2021
Falcon Families,
We are very excited to begin our Watts Learning Center Charter Middle School Fall semester and have eagerly awaited guidance due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic affecting our community from the district that came on Monday, July 13, 2020.
LAUSD Superintendent Beutner stated; “While the new school year will begin in August, it will not start with students at school facilities. The health and safety of all in the school community is not something we can compromise. ”
With this decision now confirmed, we are proud to remind you that our team has been working diligently in anticipation of this and several other alternatives in order to be prepared. We will continue to provide updates on details regarding what “Distance Learning” will look like in the Fall, so please stay connected. For now, please make note of the following points to prepare as a family.
- Fall Semester will begin Monday August 17th, 2020
- Distance Learning Logistics will be shared as soon as they are solidified
- Please complete the Fall Reopening Survey
- Fall Reopening Covid-19 Parent Survey
- Responses will help guide our planning for long term goals

Estamos muy emocionados de comenzar nuestro semestre de otoño de Watts Learning Center Charter Middle School y hemos esperado ansiosamente la orientación debido a la pandemia COVID-19 sin precedentes que afecta a nuestra comunidad del distrito que llegó el lunes 13 de julio de 2020.
El superintendente del LAUSD Beutner declaró; “Si bien el nuevo año escolar comenzará en agosto, no comenzará con los estudiantes en las instalaciones escolares. El salud y la seguridad de todos en la comunidad escolar no es algo que podamos comprometer. "
Con esta decisión ahora confirmada, estamos orgullosos de recordarle que nuestro equipo ha estado trabajando diligentemente en anticipación de esta y varias otras alternativas para estar preparados. Continuaremos brindando actualizaciones sobre los detalles sobre cómo se verá el "aprendizaje a distancia" en el otoño, así que manténgase conectado. Por ahora, tome nota de los siguientes puntos para prepararse como familia.
- El semestre de otoño comenzará el lunes 17 de agosto de 2020

- Complete la encuesta de reapertura de otoño
- Encuesta para padres sobre la reapertura de otoño de Covid-19
- Las respuestas ayudarán a guiar nuestra planificación para objetivos a largo plazo
