Short Bio
Nicolas Chavez has been with WLCCMS since 2018 initially as a Campus Aide, in 2019 -2020 as a Co-teacher, in 2021 -2022 as an Instructional Aide, 2022 - 2023 as a Behavior Intervention Implementation Aide, and presently as the School Safety Officer. His career in education began in 2001 working with high-risk, foster, and probation youth with LACOE, LA County Probation Juvenile Hall, and as facilities manager for an STRTP home for boys.
Mr. Chavez has a passion to work with students from the inner city as he was influenced by his own upbringing in the Housing Authority projects and the positive guidance of Jesuit and Salesian priests from Boyle Heights.
